The original Four Tops were a highly influential and successful American vocal group that formed in 1953. The group consisted of Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton.

They became one of Motown's most successful acts, known for their impeccable harmonies and powerful performances. Sadly, as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, only one of the original members is still alive: Abdul "Duke" Fakir.

Levi Stubbs passed away in 2008, Renaldo "Obie" Benson in 2005, and Lawrence Payton in 1997.

Despite the loss of their original members, the Four Tops' legacy continues to thrive.
